Nina began her journalism career at the San Francisco Bay Guardian, was a national stringer and “City” section contract writer for The New York Times and the urban life and culture reporter for Bloomberg News. Her freelance journalism has appeared in The Progressive, Art + Auction, The Art Newspaper of London, Conde Nast Portfolio, W Magazine, and various other publications; for a couple of years she was a product reviewer for The Wall Street Journal. She is currently the Editor in Chief of Time Out Amsterdam.
